ORU_Ed
Our Non-Conference Strength of Schedule has steadily improved as the year has progressed. It is now the 13th strongest in the country. I Feel that this will keep us from a #14 seed and will potentially help get us a 12. Here is the Record and RPI of our Non-Conference Opponents this year(not counting SWOSU): A&M 24-9 40 L A&MCC 9-20 257 L LA-LAf 15-15 180 W Lamar 19-11 157 W Tulsa 20-12 97 W ARK 21-10 34 L Texas 27-5 5 L OSU 17-15 70 W USU 24-10 78 L Creigh 21-10 45 L That is a very impressive schedule. If we had gone 6-4 or 7-3 instead of 4-6 we'd be looking at a possible 11 seed I believe. With the steady improvement of the ORU Program, this is the next step in achieving the goals that the coaches have set forth. To reach these levels, we will need to start getting a couple of wins during the year vs. the RPI top 50. I continually see that stat on bubble/seeding discussions of the various teams. With that said, how incredibly impressive has ORU been over the last 4 years. 24-8, 23-10, 23-11, 25-7 (not counting NCAA/NIT games) a .725 winning percentage. WOW!!!!!! Cletus
Thanks for the stats ORUEd. Things are looking up! Sutton and co. should be proud of their accomplishments at ORU! We are, too!
