"Yesterday was a good day for Oral Roberts University," said interim president Ralph Fagin. "Our baseball team beat the Baylor Bears . . . but some of you may have heard there was a basketball tournament this week. Will the Golden Eagles please come on down." The teams were recognized for winning their respective Summit League championships on Tuesday. ORU men's coach Scott Sutton introduced men's tournament MVP, senior guard Moses Ehambe. "You know him as your homecoming king and I'm just glad the guy decided to make some shots after Monday night. He was awesome (Tuesday) night," Sutton said. After going scoreless in the semifinals, Ehambe made seven 3-pointers and scored 25 points in a 71-64 win over Indiana-Purdue Indianapolis in the championship game. ORU's women knocked down nine 3-pointers in their 66-53 win over IUPUI in the finals........ Link to Tulsa World Sports Extra
