Old Titan
UNC-Ashville, the regular season champ in the Big South and the tournament No. 1 seed, is upset in the finals by No. 2 seed Winthrop. Ashville had been projected as a borderline No. 14/15 seed in the NCAA brackets. With the win, Winthrop's RPI jumps to 106, still well below ORU's RPI in the low 60's, but will their name recognition (eight straight NCAA berths with this win) vault them into the #13 range, or does their second-place finish in a conference rated below the Summit League guarantee a bad seed? Texasgrip
Seems to me they simply replace UNC-Ashville in the Tourney. No harm if we take care of business!
