ORUTerry
ORU notebook By MIKE BROWN World Sports Writer 2/22/2008 (excerpt) Alternate path: In a parallel universe, Scott Sutton might be Creighton's head coach when the Bluejays visit for Saturday's nationally televised BracketBusters clash. Sutton was born in Omaha while father Eddie Sutton coached the Bluejays during the early 1970s and was rumored as a possible replacement for Creighton coach Dana Altman last spring when Altman took the Arkansas job for less than 24 hours before deciding to return to the Bluejays. Sutton said Altman's reasons for returning to Creighton might have been similar to his own when he bypassed a chance to become Wichita State's head coach in the offseason. "I think coach Altman feels the same way about Creighton that I do about ORU. He likes the people he works for and he appreciates the fans who have supported his program," Sutton said. Creighton has made 10 straight postseason appearances under Altman, and the Bluejays regularly play to near-capacity crowds in the Qwest Center in Omaha......
