ORU's Ehambe is named Summit League player of the week

Oral Roberts senior guard Moses Ehambe has been named as the Summit League player of the week for his 40-point game at Western Illinois last Thursday night.

The 6-foot 6 Ehambe also scored a game-high 19 points in Saturday's 69-66 loss at Indiana-Purdue Indianapolis, ORU's first of the year in conference play.

At WIU, Ehambe hit 12-of-16 from the field, including nine 3-pointers, helping the Eagles rally from deficits up to eight points in the first half.

The nine 3-pointers were one shy of tying the school record and Ehambe became the first ORU player in six years to score 40 points in a game.

Ehambe averages 11.3 points per game as the Eagles (18-6, 13-1) host Southern Illinois at the Mabee Center on Tuesday night.

The TW is a little off since the fire...They just got the ORU girls loss to IUPUI in today and missed their game last night with WIU.
