Johnson Stadium (2,418) Tickets: 495-6000 or www.ORUGoldenEagles.com 2007 record: 40-17 overall, 19-1 Mid-Con (first) Postseason finish: Wichita Regional (0-2) Head coach: Rob Walton (fifth season, 173-64) Coaching staff: Ryan Folmar (hitting, third base), Ryan Neill (infield), Brian Kraft (outfield, first base) Preseason rankings: 40th Collegiate Baseball Key losses: LF Pat Warfle made 56 starts and batted .324 last year. DH Stephen Pearson came on late and batted .316. 2B Jake Kahaulelio hit .314 and was among the team leaders in every offensive category. 1B Chad Rothford hit 13 HRs and a team-high 51 RBIs and 17 doubles. RHP Chance Chapman, the Mid-Con pitcher of the year and a third-team All-American, went 8-1 with a 1.34 ERA, five saves and 127 strikeouts (second nationally per nine innings). RHP Jeremy Hefner (9-2, 3.03) , the Mid-Con newcomer of the year, had five complete games and 107 strikeouts. RHP Erik Crichton saved 5 games.
