Mike Minyard
Monday, December 10 Dear ORU fan, The ORU women?s basketball game is still scheduled to tip-off at 7 p.m. tonight at the Mabee Center. Admission to the game will be free due to the recent weather that hit the Tulsa area. Gates to the arena open at 6 p.m. An ice storm warning continues for most of northeastern Oklahoma tonight. Freezing drizzle continues to fall across much of the region. The storm is causing a number of power outages across northeastern Oklahoma. Electric utilities said over 400,000 customers across Oklahoma are without power as of Monday morning. Hundreds of utility crews have been working since Sunday to restore power, but as more ice continues to accumulate on power lines, the number of outages continues to grow. The Golden Eagle Club pre-game meal in the mezzanine will serve dinner tonight. Membership to the club is required in order to attend the dinners. The dinner is $7 per person and will begin serving at 5:30 p.m. Food and beverages through the concession stands will be available to purchase starting at 6 p.m. Please be understanding tonight as we will have open seating tonight in the arena, so your seats may be occupied by someone else. Please welcome them to the game, and wish them well as we all get through this situation. We hope to see you and the Tulsa community staying warm at the Mabee Center tonight! Go Golden Eagles! tmh8286
We accepted the offer (although I'd planned to go to the game anyway) and was rewarded with a surprisingly exciting, well played game between two very good teams. I was expecting a pretty easy win for the Golden Eagles, but the Bison gave them all they could handle and then some. Congrats to Coach Finkbeiner and the ladies team for a very good win.
