Irish333
Hey all, Well, the fall session for Baseball has come and gone. Yet, we really haven't heard anything exciting about this years squad. It may be just me, but it seems that there is a cloak of secrecy about the coming year. For one, the schedule is not posted if it is in fact completed. Could this be a strategic move? Next, we have a whole slew of new players with nothing written about them. Do our baseball sports writers belong to the writers guilde? Are they threatening to strike? I luv's my baseball and can't get enough of it! Does anyone have an idea of what the potential lineup would be? It seems to me that there are a few givens... Here's how I would start my lineup..... 1 - Centerfield - Kelly Minnisale 2 - Right field - Duffy ( Great to have him back!) 3 - Adam Younger ( I'd like to see him hit higher in the order forcing him to be more selective and in my opinion more of a contact hitter.) 4 - Petralli - (Could be a big bopper for the team) 5 - Van Kirk - ( DH or left field... and protection in the order for Petralli) Now to reset the table.... You guys can fill in the blanks. 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - Pitching - I think Reneau, Jarman and Sullivan seem to have earned a strong look for this year. Seems that Lamontagne, TJ Kelly, Jameson Dunn and Ben Grover will also provide significant contributions. I still want to see what Stephen Barnes Brings to the table. Nice to see some new lefties on the roster. Jason Grace and Trevor Johnson. Grace may be a key player. Just my thoughts... trying to spark some feedback. ORUTerry
ORU coaches tend to keep things close to the vest.... I have heard that we are in on some nice California players/recruits. They actualy approached us.
