Bogus Smith Posted June 8, 2007 Share Posted June 8, 2007 Chapman Named to All-Midwest Region Team Oral Roberts' Chance Chapman was selected to the America Baseball Coaches Association All-Midwest Region First Team, the ABCA announced Thursday. The 2007 Mid-Con Pitcher of the Year finished the season with an 8-1 record and 1.34 ERA to go along with a conference-best 127 strikeouts. He also recorded four saves and posted a 4.54-to-1 strikeout to walk ratio, while opponents hit just .198 against him in 2007. In addition to being named the league's Pitcher of the Year, he was also a first-team all-conference selection and a member of the 2007 Mid-Con all-tournament team after recording the victory in the Golden Eagles' opening round win over Centenary at the Mid-Con Championship.
