ORUTerry Posted May 20, 2007 Share Posted May 20, 2007 Pearson goes 5-for-6 in Golden Eagles win by Staff Reports 5/20/2007 MACOMB, Ill. -- Stephen Pearson went 5-for-6 with five RBIs and Chris Ashman allowed two runs in eight innings as Oral Roberts -- behind a 16-hit attack -- completed a sweep of Western Illinois with a 11-3 victory. ORU (37-15 overall, 19-1 in the Mid-Con) led 5-1 after two innings and scored four runs in the second and sixth innings. After the sixth, ORU led 9-1. Pearson's five RBIs and five hits were both career highs. ORU begins play as the No. 1 seed in the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament on Thursday at WIU.
