ORUTerry Posted May 18, 2007 Share Posted May 18, 2007 I had the privilege of attending the Arthritis Foundation Dinner last night honoring Tom Kivisto (SemGroup). Bill Self was there and spoke briefly. Self was introduced by John Holcomb of Channel 6, who served as emcee. Holcomb reminded the audience of Self's tenure at ORU and TU, and spoke briefly about the TU Elite 8 season and how magical it was. The funny thing is, when Self spoke he never mentioned his time at TU. After a somewhat tortured attempt at a joke, he spent most of his time acknowledging former ORU player James Kruse who was in the audience and recalling several memories of his ORU team and how Kruse worked to earn his scholarship.
