Brendan Duffy has been named Mid-Con co-Player of the Week while Jeremy Hefner garnered Mid-Con co-Pitcher of the Week honors, the league announced on Monday. Duffy earns co-Player of the Week honors after hitting .786 (11-for-14) in four games against Valparaiso last weekend. The leadoff man extended his hitting streak to 14 games, recording two doubles, a triple, six RBI, nine runs scored and two stolen bases as ORU went 3-1. He posted an .810 on-base percentage and 1.071 slugging percentage last week. Hefner receives co-Mid-Con Pitcher of the Week honors after throwing a seven-inning shutout in Oral Roberts? 8-0 victory over Valparaiso last Saturday. He allowed just four hits and two walks while striking out 11, facing just three batters over the minimum. The junior has not allowed a run in 14.0 innings of work in Mid-Con play. tmh8286 Posted May 1, 2007 Share Posted May 1, 2007 Duffy and Warfle are two of my favorite players on the team. I enjoy watching them because of their quickness. Pat takes off after getting hit by the ball or drawing a walk like he's shot out of a cannon. In one game against Southern Utah he took off so quickly after getting hit by a ball that the ump thought he was going after the pitcher.
