Looks like we'll be in the San Juan Shootout next year ... along with Clemson and Ole Miss ... couldn't locate an offical tournament website to find additional teams.

From a story on ESPN.com:

Clemson will play South Carolina at home and gets Purdue at home in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. The Tigers also are going to Mississippi State and will play in the San Juan Shootout with Ole Miss and Oral Roberts.

Sure, Jazzo!  ORU has played in the San Juan Shootout twice before.  The first time was in 1997, with these results:

12/21/97 vs. Tennessee Tech  W, 97-73

12/22/97 vs. St. Bonaventure    L, 67-70

12/23/97 vs. Southern Miss      L, 62-73

And in 2001:

12/20/01 vs. Jacksonville          W, 73-64

12/21/01 vs. Texas - Pan Am    L, 58-67

12/22/01 vs. Florida Int'l          W, 66-55

Here's the lowdown:

2007 San Juan Shootout

Dec. 20-22, 2007

Mario Morales Coliseum (5,500)

Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

Ole Miss (SEC)

Clemson (ACC)

DePaul (Big East)

Wyoming (Mountain West)

LaSalle (Atlantic 10)

Oral Roberts (Mid-Con)

Missisippi Valley State (SWAC)

University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez (Div. II, host)

If anyone is interested in going, I've got some info I can e-mail you on a package deal that's been put together by the tournament sponsors, Sport Tours...

I believe it was a four team field when we played before - am I right on that, so far as you know, OT?  Have they expanded the field since 2001?  Or am I thinking wrong?
