ORUTerry
Rhett mentioned something to me last week that I had not considered about next season: with the change up in the Mid-Con member schools, our conference schedule will take up 18 games instead of the 14 we played this year. (We played all seven conference opponents twice; with the deletion of Valpo and the addition of IPFW, South Dakota State and North Dakota State that means will have nine conference foes.) That sounds like a long conference season. Last year we played 30 regular season (14 conference and 16 non-conference) games plus two exhibition games. All things being equal, that would mean four less non-conference games. It is imperative from a league stand point that the league ?schedule up? so that the Mid-Con RPI does not tank since we will be playing more in-league games as a total percentage of our games. tmh8286
Agreed. It will be interesting to see what that does to overall conference RPI. We may actually see a drop in RPI due to fewer nonconference games to prop it up.
