Geoff Haxton
Hazy, light winds, temps in the lower 70's, big yard. Just a few notes from Blair Field in Long Beach. Don't forget goldeneaglesbaseball@hotmail.com to reach me here. I have a very weak wireless connection. Hoping for a Cali wins. TrueBlue82
According to Boyd's World - a college baseball junkie webpage - LBSU has the highest strength of schedule in the country to date. Despite their 14-11 record, they are ranked #5 in the nation in his latest standings. A win (or two) in California this weekend would be a huge boost for this team. They appear to be ready - but this is quite a test. http://www.boydsworld.com/baseball/isr/currentisr.html
tmh8286
Streaming video is available for all three games at Long Beach State. Costs ten bucks, though. http://www.longbeachstate.com/gen/thisweek.html
MrsSmith
I think I'd rather listen to Haxton. We're behind 2-0 so far.
TrueBlue82
4-0 Dirtbags - It's always tough to win when you have more errors (3) than hits (2)....
Bogus Smith
No doubt...somehow we need to get our hitting on track for these road games.
tmh8286
I wasn't able to stay awake for the whole game - those dirtbags (notice - small case "d") were up by four when I hit the sack. Sound like that was the margin of victory. Hope we have a stronger performance tonight. While LBS may be a great team, I would hope for better hitting. We're really struggling on the road. The guys seem to do pretty well at home. Wish we could bottle that hitting success up and send it with them.
