ORUTerry
Golden Eagle game won't be available in HD by MATT DOYLE World Sports Writer 3/15/2007 Fans hoping to watch Oral Roberts' NCAA Tournament game Thursday in high definition are out of luck. KOTV channel 6 has elected not to take CBS Television's high definition feed in order to show ORU's first-round NCAA game against Washington State in its entirety. CBS offers its local affiliates two feed options during the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. There is the constant feed, which shows the entire game to a market of local interest, and there is a flex feed that allows the network to switch games at any time. The constant feed option, though, is not available in high definition. "If we take the HD flex feed, we run the risk that CBS will switch away to another game. And we have no control over CBS' decision to do that," said KOTV sales director John Trook. ORU's game with Washington State starts at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. KOTV also will show Boston College-Texas Tech at 11:25 a.m., Duke-Virginia Commonwealth at 6:10 p.m. and Indiana-Gonzaga at 8:45 p.m. Thursday. On Friday, KOTV will televise Memphis-North Texas at 11:30 a.m., Notre Dame-Winthrop at 1:35 p.m., Kansas-Niagara at 6:10 p.m. and Arkansas-USC at 8:50 p.m. Those games will be available in high definition.
