It took me awhile to realize your post is in reference to the game being played on a church night. It's just plain hard to schedule non-conference games and not conflict with SOMETHING. You basically only have six weeks from mid-November to January 1 to get the game in. Plus, this game was not scheduled until this summer (we got it as a result of the Bracket Buster game last year), so you already had a lot of non-conference games already on both teams schedule, and you have to work around that (for example, we already had the Alaska Shootout, TU, OU and several others on the books). Figure in travel, finals, holidays - you get the picture. Wednesday games are far from perfect, but don't think for a minute that Wednesday-church-going ORU fans weren't given any consideration in the process...
