orumom Posted December 4, 2005 Share Posted December 4, 2005 I've really done a good job of controlling my emotions & my writings, but as the evening began the TU fans for the most part were their obnoxious selves. As the game progressed they got quieter and began looking sad. At that point Blue & I looked at each other and started to feel sorry for them, because we remember how it feels to not live up to our hopes or dreams for a team........... But, then we both laughed and said something about how good it felt to beat the socks off of them and that we don't remember their ever having compassion for us......... so we just yelled some more for our Eagles & told them how wonderful they are! Only a few things in life feel better, the birth of a child, a wedding, winning the MidCon, making it to the NCAA Tournament and going to the Elite Eight (we do remember how that felt, & it was awsome). vcboy2000 Posted December 4, 2005 Share Posted December 4, 2005 Sat in front of some TU fans tonight and decided to be courteous and welcomed them before the game started. We had a nice conversation about how much their team has improved since the beginning of the season, and they were realistic but hopeful about the outcome of the game. Throughout the game we exchanged comments and they were great sports all around. Great couple. I would have them to the Mabee Center anytime.
