Bogus Smith
...ORU starts the season at 2-10 or 3-9. These first few series are brutal for this team and, with the lack of practice days available in January (this January was much colder than last January), it is going to take the team several weeks to play to the competition level that they have scheduled in the early part of the season. I would also not be surprised about the following: 1. That ORU wins the Mid-Con (this would be hard to NOT predict). 2. That ORU makes it to another NCAA regional (even if they stub their toe in the Mid-Con Tournament) 3. That ORU has a similar level of success in the NCAA Tournament that they had last year. tmh8286
Those are good predictions, Bogus, and I wouldn't be surprised if you are right. I've heard that talent-wise we should be as strong or stronger than we were last year. From what I understand, our weakest position is behind the plate, with Andy Bouche deciding to leave. It sure would be nice to steal a game from one of these big-time programs, though.
