Bogus Smith Posted February 13, 2007 Share Posted February 13, 2007 Mid-Con Pitcher of the Week Marcus Tackett, Oral Roberts Fr., RHP, Tulsa, Okla./Memorial HS Tackett claims Mid-Con Pitcher of the Week honors after an impressive performance in his first collegiate appearance. The freshman recorded his first career victory, throwing 5.0 scoreless innings, while scattering five hits in Oral Roberts? 11-1 win over Missouri Southern Sunday. Tackett also struck out four, while allowing just one walk. I think that we're going to find Marcus to be a real gem to the team this year. He was drafted out of HS and has a good of a bat as he does a live arm. I'm really looking forward to this young man's contributions to an already talented team.
