Season review: good, bad, and the ugly

Now that the season is over, what are your thoughts on 23-24?  There were a lot of ups and downs.  Here is my good, bad, and ugly list for this year.

Good:

1. ORU won the Mayor's Cup for the 3rd year in a row.

2. Eagles showed some fight and toughness versus Power 5 teams: K-State, Texas Tech and Texas AM.

3. McBride averaged nearly 20 points and earned 2nd team All Summit League.

Bad:

1. From game 1 to 31, ORU was completely outmatched on the boards.

2. They finished 1-8 on the season and looked at times like the team gave up.

3. No depth, so Kareem and McBride were forced to stay on the court way too long.

Ugly;

1. Injuries to Miller and DJ hurt in the non conference.  Neither guy seemed to recover to full strength as the season progressed.  Williams missed the whole year with injuries.

2. Coach kept saying in his interviews that it was his mistake and he needed to improve in various areas.

Honestly, I'd like a few more "C students" on the men's basketball team.   : )

Exactly @ORob1, we need some guys whose GPAs are lower than their rebounds per game!

...then there was Max, who raised the average for the whole team... 🙂
