rlh
In the effort to find out why there were not intentional fouls called on the two out of bounds plays, I did some research to find out the rules. Apparently the rule has changed in the last couple of years, and as of now, as soon as the ball is handed to the player out of bounds the ball is considered live. If a foul is called before that it is Intentional, if after, it might not be. By looking at the tape, it is obvious that on the first one the out of bounds player had the ball when the foul happened, I couldnt' tell from our angle on the second. Maybe this will or will not help, but I thought I'd find out since I too was a little confused by the whole thing.
