Eaglefan 21 Posted February 23 Posted February 23 ORU recently offered. Played his freshman season at Chattanooga before going juco this year. Stats are impressive. Originally from Houston, Texas. Does this mean anything for Mcbride or Amboree next year? https://kjccc.prestosports.com/sports/mbkb/2023-24/players/brodyrobinsong70k https://www.verbalcommits.com/players/brody-robinson

Also, what does it say if we are starting to make offers to an undersized (5'10") point guard? He would be a defensive liability at his size, but may be able to lead the team and fit within the culture of the team.
Keenan Henderson Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Brody is rated as the #20 prospect of juco players and he makes the 3rd juco guy ORU has offered. Coach Springmann is going after juco players, which is kind of a throw back to how teams built in the past. At least you do not have to pay them any NIL money ! The guy is averaging 20 points and 9 assists: so he is a good scorer and set up man, which is not easy to find.
Old Titan Posted February 23 Posted February 23 I’m not sure why a well-regarded juco player would not warrant NIL money. At least, I can’t understand why a well-regarded juco player wouldn’t expect NIL money. I mean, they have the same material needs as high school or transfer portal prospects, don’t they? Perhaps even more… 1
Keenan Henderson Posted February 23 Posted February 23 It was just a joke that missed the mark but sure they deserve NIL money too.
Dr. Cornelius Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I don’t think the program needs another player that isn’t capable of guarding anyone. 3
