PROVO, Utah -- Caleb Green scored 30 points and hit two foul shots with 2.4 seconds left, giving Oral Roberts University a 76-74 win over Seton Hall in Thursday's first night of the Brigham Young Holiday Classic.

Ken Tutt chipped in 24 points for the Golden Eagles (6-6), who rallied from a nine-point deficit.

ORU will play BYU at 8:30 p.m. Friday in the three-day round-robin festival. The Cougars took a 7-4 mark into Thursday's late game against Liberty.

The Eagles played the final 11:21 without point guard Adam Liberty, who fouled out, and lost 20 turnovers.

"You're lucky to win any game when you turn it over that many times, let alone beat a good team from the Big East Conference," said ORU coach Scott Sutton. "But I'm proud of our guys for hanging in there. We could have folded our tents when we got behind by 9, but we kept fighting."

Brian Laing's 17 points and 10 rebounds led the Pirates (7-3).

ORU led by as many as 12 in the first half, but trailed 67-58 on Mani Messy's jumper with 5:49 left and 72-64 on Messy's dunk with 3:40 left.

From there, the Eagles held the Pirates to a single field goal while Tutt and Green scored six points each down the stretch.

Green's free throw tied the game with 56 seconds left and ORU played for the final shot after the Pirate's Jamar Nutter missed on a drive.

ORU retained possession when Seton Hall knocked the ball out of bounds with three seconds left. Green got free underneath for Yemi Ogunoye's inbounds pass and Nutter fouled him to prevent an easy basket.
