Popular Post Bogus Smith Posted September 17, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted September 17, 2023 We have 18 ORU players in the pros currently. Below is what they were able to accomplish in the 2023 season - some didn't start until July, but others have a full season of production. There are still some players in-season (Jordan Romano, Chi Chi Gonzalez, Matt Whatley, Mac McCroskey, and Spencer Henson), but all the lower-class and independent leagues just finished their seasons. Hopefully some of the independent league players will get selected for a UDFA contract for 2024. Some may be invited for the Arizona Fall League. All the MiLB players will hopefully get a chance to participate in development opportunities at the club's spring training camps. It will be nice if some of these guys make it to the Diamond Dinner in February before scattering for the next season. Out of the guys in the independent leagues, Jake MacMurray seems to be the most likely to get an opportunity at the next level.
