ORUSwagger
How about them Cowboys!!!!!! @theeagleman5 & @Texasgrip thoughts?
Keenan Henderson
Big Dallas Cowboy fan, dating back to the Tony Dorsett (TD) days. The defense looked really good but Dak is still good but not great. Can he win the playoff games and get them to a Super Bowl? In the end, he is a 4th round draft pick and most quarterbacks in that range (except for Brady) are not Super Bowl winners. The pieces around him on offense are average except for the wideout Lamb. Philly and San Fran will be very difficult to deal with, so Dallas needs to have a great season and secure the home field advantage. Go Cowboys!
theeagleman5
What more can be said after that performance last night by Big D at San Francisco....ouch!!.....
Keenan Henderson
Since the 1990s, Dallas has really struggled against good teams and in the playoffs. Romo and Dak have been good but not great quarterbacks. That is why they always finish 10-7 and lose in the first round of the playoffs. It could be worse and they could be as bad as the Broncos. Texasgrip
Nice to see what the Cowboys are capable of when the refs don’t insert themselves into the mix! The real test will be this weekend against the Panthers.
theeagleman5
Cowboys still two games behind the Birds.....rematch coming up next month....Dak always looks pretty good vs. the Panthers and NYG....but against the power teams not so much.....we will see how it plays out......Hurts played a great 2nd half last night to put out that game in KC....first time that Mahomes/Reid had blown a double digit lead at home.....9-1 will make the turkey and stuffing taste very good on Thursday.....surely Dallas will handle the Commanders but who knows? Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!
Texasgrip
Good time to be an Eagles fan: 9-1 is a great accomplishment! Enjoy your turkey! I am definitely looking forward to the rematch in a few weeks. I'm not sure 150 yards with one INT and no TDs was a good game for Hurts last night - the Chiefs blew it down the stretch (two terrible drops on the final drive? Gotta be kidding me)...but good teams take advantage and the Eagles did exactly that. They also have the favorable schedule down the stretch... Otis 83
Yes congratulations to the Eagles on a solid campaign so far. If I was a conspiracy theorist I would say the fix had to be in last night in Arrowhead. Unreal number of drops in critical situations. I’m not gonna lie, wish the Commanders weren’t coming off a loss to Vinnie Barbarino and the (might be) Giants. Cowboys should win by a dozen but if there’s anything I’ve learned since Super Bowl XXX is never assume anything as far as the Cowboys are concerned. theeagleman5
And this is what most Cowboy fans don't get....it's NOT about stats...it's about WINS.....Hurts could care less how many yards he throws or runs for.....it's did we get the W.....and Hurts is a true leader of men.....Dak can throw for 390 yards and still lose.....and he's an interception machine.....granted he usually does play well vs. the Eagles and i tip my cap to him...but he had the ball at the 10 in the final minute 2 weeks ago at Lincoln Financial Field and failed to get the winning score.....Hurts stepped up and made the big throws and runs when needed last night in KC.....did the Eagles steal that game?....yes I would agree it was not their best showing and the Kelce fumble was huge but that was not his fault...it was the safety Bayard knocking it out...saved 6 points in the 4th qtr......and yeah the drop at the goal line in the final 2 minutes was awful....great throw by Mahomes who was making good plays all night but WRs dropping a lot of passes....Andy Reid is a dope...he is NOT the genius that the media makes him out to be...why is he going to end up in the Top 3 winningest coaches of all time? It's McNabb, Mahomes, Jim Johnson(DC for Eagles) and Steve Spagnoulo(DC Chiefs)....Andy is a stubborn putz who can put together a great game plan and draw up marvelous plays but once the whistle blows he does dumb things....KC running all over the Eagles last night so Andy stops running in the 2nd half even still with a lead.....he mismanages time and time outs....trust me...watched this clown for 13 seasons here in Philly. The man is as stubborn as they come and will not ever change....he just loves to Pass Pass Pass...what won his last Super Bowl 57? THE RUN!!!.....anyway I digress.....I expect the Cowboys to be a tough team to beat at Jerry World next month....the NFC East may go down to the final week.....But Jalen Hurts is a WINNER....Dak Prescott is NOT....oh he is pretty good....but he will never win the big game.....trust me..... P.S....Jalen Hurts has won 13 straight games vs. teams with winning records...that's the most in NFL History....he just passed Peyton Manning..... theeagleman5
TheEagleman will agree that my football team has been winning ugly this season....not playing their best ball and 7 of the 10 games have been decided by one score....some things will need to be cleaned up and quickly if the Eagles expect to win the NFC East let alone the #1 seed and a Super Bowl....next few games are vs. Buffalo....vs. SF....at Dallas and at Seattle.....very tough sledding.....not likely to win all four....heck, they could lose all four if the sloppy play is continued....TheEagleman respects all of these opponents and anticipating a very tough match up in Big D on Dec. 10..... theeagleman5
Back to reality for Dak................not rubbing it in because Buffalo is playing very well and the NFL is just a week to week league these days due to scheduling and injuries.....not really expecting my Eagles to travel all the way to Seattle and win tonight either with all the defensive issues and injuries....its just a long grind for 5 months and rosters are too small...still 47 players dressing on game day and that hasn't increased in 30 years or more....NFL says they care about player safety???....well guess what....they don't...all they care about is $$$......
Otis 83
A wise man would wait to see how Eagles at Seahags plays out tonight before talking some smack....but this is @theeagleman5 doing the talking.
theeagleman5
HAHAHA.....agree with that....Hurts has been sick all weekend and our defense decimated with injuries and overall crappy play......not expecting a big Eagles victory tonight.....it's possible but unlikely.....just not playing well right now and Seattle a very difficult place to play even if they use a back up QB.....Eagles can't cover DJ Metcalf....nobody can..... Otis 83
Indeed they are. Didn't see that coming a few weeks ago but a) That's why they play the games b) Credit the team for fighting to the end The Cowboys have extended their lead in the number of division championships having won the division 25 times if you back to the three seasons of the Capital Division. I believe they have twice as many titles as the number 2 Philadelphia Eagles.
