Popular Post TrueBlue82
Double win for the ORU Soccer program, as the ORU Men defeat UIW and the ORU Women take down K-State! Both on the road, and both by the final score of 2-1, after ORU trailed 1-0 at halftime in both matches. The ORU Men receive an own-goal gift early in the second half, and then gift number two as a UIW player is red-carded a few minutes later. After a barrage of Golden Eagle shots on goal, the winner finally drops in with five minutes left. The Women trailed 1-0 at half, and K-State changed out their starting goalie at that point, which was a mistake. ORU earned a penalty kick early in the second half for the equalizer, and picked up the eventual game winner off of a corner kick. The last thirty minutes was played in a driving rain with gusty winds, but ORU handled it much better than the home team. Very nice W over a P5 school on the road. 1
