orumom Posted November 27, 2005 Share Posted November 27, 2005 Marquette in final at Great Alaska Shootout Palladium-Item ANCHORAGE, Alaska ?Dominic James scored a team-high 15 points Friday night as Marquette defeated Oral Roberts 73-70 in the semifinals of the Great Alaska Shootout. The 2005 graduate of Richmond High School also made eight assists and three rebounds. Marquette is 3-1 and Oral Roberts 1-2. The Golden Eagles advance to tonight?s championship game against either Monmouth or South Carolina. The result was not available at press time. The game will be broadcast live on WKBV-AM 1490 in Richmond. Tonight?s third-place game will be televised at 7:30 p.m. and the final at 10:30 on ESPN2. Marquette won the title in 2001, the last time it played in the event.
