OKC Eagle
As great as the win was last night, I hope we are not a team that thinks that one game makes a season. ORU is getting kudos, but a lot of people still think this was a fluke. To prove that this was not a fluke, we have to continue to play tough and win more of these tuff games than we lose. We also have to be very careful not to have our own let down against a weaker opponent. We must build on this game and make sure we do not lose any games that we are favored to win. Now is the time. This could be one of our best teams ever and we must take advantage. A great year should help with recruiting for years to come and keep the snowball rolling. If we don't have a great season after this, a negative effect will be that we will never get another game like this because the ranked teams don't want to risk a loss to a low RPI team. To get respect, we have to win a bunch of games so that the good teams don't have to be embarrassed to lose to us. Think Gonzaga. After this win, looking at our schedule, this team should expect to win every other game it plays (although a win at Georgetown would also be a huge a upset). We will lose several games, but I hope we play tough in all of them and show the nation that we are a good team. Otherwise, this will be our typical season with the exception of one "fluke" win.
