Turek's double-double was the 37th of her career, while her 18 rebounds was one shy of her career mark. She also shot 62.5 percent (10-of-16) from the floor with two assists and two steals in 31 minutes. ORU (1-0) got a fast start with Turek and Claremore's Jenny Hardin combining for nine of the team's first 11 points for an early 11-2 lead. A pair of Lisa Bue buckets brought North Dakota State (0-1) to within 13-10 at the 11:32 mark, but Turek answered with a layup that sparked a 12-0 ORU run to give the Eagles a 25-10 lead with 8:36 to play in the half. The Golden Eagles maintained their double-figure lead until the Bison closed the half on a 10-4 run to pull within 38-32 at intermission. ORU began to pull away early in the second half, increasing their lead to 57-42 on a Mariana Camargo layup at the 15:24 mark. The lead was 11 points when Hardin made a layup and connected on a 3-pointer on back-to-back possessions to fuel an 8-2 spurt and give the Golden Eagles their largest lead of the day at 74-55. The Golden Eagles dominated in the post, scoring 46 points in the paint and turning 22 offensive rebounds into 15 second chance points. ORU also held a 49-36 overall advantage on the boards.
