Cletus
What does anyone think of this tweet on twitter today? Sounds like someone likes the team in Tulsa.... Old Titan
The author is correct: it’s a silly statement. Can we please wait to see if the entire roster can earn its first tournament bye since rejoining the league, before crowning the bench as preseason favorites? #justsaynotohubris
ManiacAlum
Material meet bulletin board. There's never been a team in this conference's history that good. That's so absurd it almost seems on purpose?

Reaching The Summit: College Basketball Podcast @reachsummitpod Is this a silly statement Oral Roberts Bench could finish in the top half of the league That was probably said for some motivational purpose, it seems to me. Keenan Henderson
Most likely the second team consists of: McBride, Trey, Williams, Patrick, and Clover/Herron. The bench would be a better defensive team but not as strong scoring. ORU has guys like McBride and Trey who can score but others such as Williams, Patrick, Clover who are generally better defenders. It would look a lot different, not as many threes being shot up all the time. Probably would finish in the 8-10 range in the Summit League. TrueBlue82
On the face of it, I agree that this is WAY over the top and makes great motivational fodder for Summit opponents. But, it does speak two truths: ORU should have the strongest and deepest bench in recent history AND the Summit bottom-feeders are really bad. According to Ken Pom, to finish in the top half of the Summit would require an RPI of 273. Could our non-starters fill out a roster and compete at an RPI #273 level??? That may not be THAT far out of the question. Next reasonable question - could the same be said about SDSU, USD and NDSU??? Probably...
