richieoru Posted May 25, 2006 Share Posted May 25, 2006 What is the deal with that rule...it's a huge jab at mid-majors and would make the powerhouses in basketball just that much better. It does have its good side, but dang it can hurt so many smaller teams. If that rule stays in affect then you will see a lot less red shirt players and perhaps programs will try to slow down how fast their players graduate. College basketball was about playing for the name on the front of the jersey, with this rule and players using it, its more about the name on the back of the jersey.
