ORU Wins Mid-Con Pitcher, Player of the Week

Oral Roberts' Andy Bouchie and Chance Chapman were selected as the Mid-Con Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, after solid performances to close out the regular-season last week.

Mid-Con Player of the Week

Andy Bouchie, Oral Roberts

Jr., C, Riverside, Calif./ (Riverside College)

Bouchie earns Player of the Week accolades after leading Oral Roberts to its eighth-straight Mid-Con regular-season title and a 5-0 record last week. The junior catcher posted a .611 batting average to go along with eight runs scored, nine RBI and two home runs. He was 3-for-5 with a double, home run and four RBI in ORU?s 13-2 win over #24/17 Oklahoma State Tuesday. He also chipped in three hits, three RBI and three runs scored in Sunday?s 21-1 win over Mid-Con foe Oakland.

Mid-Con Pitcher of the Week

Chance Chapman, Oral Roberts

Jr., RHP, Paso Robles, Calif./ (Cuesta College)

Chapman is the Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 with a 0.75 earned run average in two starts for Oral Roberts last week. The junior started the week allowing two runs on three hits in 7.0 innings of work in ORU?s 13-2 upset win over nationally-ranked Oklahoma State. He also fanned three batters in that win. Chapman picked up his second win of the week after allowing two hits with four strikeouts in 5.0 innings on the mound in ORU?s 7-0 win over Oakland.
