Max in the new year

I actually think it’s more likely he moves on than he returns. But that’s just my opinion. I think for someone of his size (5’11”), the more time that passes from his initial introduction to the national spotlight (March 2020) the less likely it is for him to earn a good-paying contract. Hope I’m wrong!

Couldn't agree more GoldenEagleFan, Max's peak value was coming off the sweet 16 run with the media hype in full swing and he's only dropped as a prospect since, coming back was more than he needed to do for the program and his legacy is safe. But another year; as great as it would be for us( because I have a feeling my head is going to explode watching a 7'-3" guy jacking up 3's), probably isn't in his personal best interest. He has very good value as an overseas player and another year in the Summit league isn't going to help his value and will actually probably only decrease it more.  Either way, he's an ORU all time great.

Returning to ORU and making another tournament run could put him back to where he was after the 21 season, right?  Assuming he performs as well or better...With the new teammates, I think he can.

Max seems like a guy who takes his education seriously.....in the short run he can probably make some $$ in the G League or Europe but i thought the guy wants to be a doctor or something like that....so he needs his ORU degree....TheEagleman thinks we will see Max in Blue and Gold for another season.....:circle-logoi:

I’m with u eagleman. Max is going to be successful whatever he does, whether that be as a physician in the future, with some pro ball before then. Can’t fault him for either decision he makes, but makes a lot of sense to finish his degree now rather than wait til later (would be diff story if he was a 1st round pick). Pro ball money is good, but if it’s not nba money, I can tell you that Doctor money is pretty good too, and a much longer career life than proball.

Max was limited this past season due to a lingering injury.  I think he needs a healthy upcoming season to raise his stock again and this team could be very successful with him running the show.
