ORUTerry Posted May 18, 2006 Share Posted May 18, 2006 I turned on the radio at around 11:30 and caught the last 30 seconds of Chris Belvin (ORU SID) being interviewed by Al Jerkins on am1550. Did anyone else catch it? All I heard was Chris talking about the travel problems related to getting to the Dakota schools. When they said goodbye to him they said they hoped ORU was not surprised again on Friday. Not sure what they meant by that. Chris, can you give a brief recap of what you discussed? They asked him about Caleb Green's chances of making it in the NBA. Steve said he should probably develop some of a perimeter game, but that he is who he is. Bontrager said the weak competition in the Mid Con would hurt him, but that Green could start and put up similar numbers for teams in the Big 12. The most important thing is for him to perform well in the NBA camps (Portsmouth, etc) next year. He made an unsolicited comment about ORU's upcoming basketball team, saying they are going to be better this year than last. He specifically mentioned Kelvin Sango, saying he is quite a steal for the Golden Eagles. Said he would make a lot of difference on the squad.
