TrueBlue82
"We're very excited to make Calum a part of the Valpo program," coach Homer Drew said. "He's a very skilled center with the ability to step out and score from the perimeter." Okay, I truly like Homer... but only he could get away with this quote without a smile and a wink. "Very skilled center who can step out and score"... and he only starts five games and averages 5.7 points for a mid-level juco team. He must show all of his skills in very short spurts... and then leave the court. Let's see - a quick dunk, an outside jumper, get fouled on a rebound and make a free throw...that's five points - enough for tonight. Maybe I'll make an extra basket tomorrow night - and score six points. Either that, or he's a hack, and fouls out quickly. Oh well, at least there was no mention of "dominating" the Mid-Con.
