oruvoice Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 ORU scores 8 runs in the top of the first inning, of the first game at LSU. After 3 innings, it's ORU - 8 and LSU - 7.
TrueBlue82 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 After ragging on the team for their anemic offense earlier this week, they've now hammered out 16 hits (13 singles, 3 doubles) in the first FOUR innings at eighth ranked LSU, and lead 19-7. Wow... Hopefully, the pitching staff can keep LSU (the leading HR hitting team in the nation) in the park, and hold on for a series opening win.
ORUTerry Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Still a long way to go, but 19 runs through 4 innings is pretty impressive.
ORU82 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Top of 6th inning, Good Guys up 22-7 over No. 8 LSU. Go Golden Eagles!
theeagleman5 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 What's got into the Good Guys today?....has to be some sort of miracle from heaven....
theeagleman5 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 9th inning now....still 22-7 ORU.....Who is this Kowalski?....7 innings of 2 hit relief......wow.....TheEagleman is for once...speechless... 1
theeagleman5 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 Final Score....ORU 22 LSU 7.....will wonders ever cease?....amazing!....but 8th ranked LSU is gonna be ticked tomorrow...GO BLUE!.....

Maybe so Eagleman and the Tigers could come back with a vengeance tomorrow. But either we have a quality win on the road against a ranked opponent. Maybe LSU was distracted with all the Les Miles news
Old Titan Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 I forgot the game got moved up, been working all day, then just got the score notification on my phone. “Wow, 22 runs - those SEC teams can sure hit.” “Wait a minute...ORU SCORED THE 22 RUNS?? HOLY BAYOU BENGALS!!” That score will send a shock wave through the college baseball world. What can you say? “Geaux Eagles!”
Old Titan Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Kendall Rogers is arguably the pre-eminent college baseball writer in America. Never a bad thing to be on his radar!
TrueBlue82 Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Statistics can take funny swings early in the season. In one game, ORU's season batting average improved from a brutal .223 to a much more respectable .248. And, LSU's ace started the game with a 0.00 ERA through two scoreless starts and ten innings pitched. His season ERA is now 6.86. He recorded one out and gave up 8 earned runs, giving him an ERA for the day of 216.00. 1
