oruandy
Reports out of Indy tonight on local radio and some television imply that all of this talk of Sampson may be premature. FWIW, the Indianapolis local Fox channel indicated that IU's Board of Trustees intends to interview Sampson before the deal is official. This could get even more weird as some speculate that several Trustees still want Alford first and then Wittman if no Alford, especially with the NCAA overhang. There is a good possibility that that Sampson and Greenspan reached an agreement for Sampson to take over at IU. Greenspan told Sampson that it would have to be approved by the trustees and prez. So Greenspan goes off to accomplish this. During this time, Sampson gets all giddy and/or vindictive (if he feels OU did not cover his butt in the investigation) and talks to his players and word leaks out. Several Trustees could put the kibosh on this and leave old Kelvin hanging in the wind...
Guest Rob Marshall
This news doesn't shock me a bit. However, the IU AD will leave next IF the board of trustees doesn't support him here and ultimately votes "nay" on Sampson.
