ORUBlue
Got this on the Valpo board This is the first time I can remember anybody actually predicting a 16 winning against a 1. Here is their blub: (16) Oral Roberts over (1) Memphis I have never believed a No. 16 seed could beat a No. 1 seed ? until now. Oral Roberts forward Caleb Green (20.8 ppg, 8.9 rpg) is a two-time Mid-Continent Player of the Year with a strong lower body and tremendous interior game. Guard Ken Tutt (14.3 ppg, 2.2 apg) has an accurate outside shot with a flair for late-game heroics. Forward Larry Owens (12.1 ppg, 7.9 rpg) has elevated his play and, for a non-major conference player, matches up surprisingly well against Memphis' Rodney Carney (17.5 ppg, 4.3 rpg). Though the Golden Eagles lost to every highly rated opponent they played, they didn't lose by much. Oral Roberts lost to Marquette by three, Oklahoma by eight and Utah State by five in overtime in November and by one in regulation in December. Think Oral Roberts' coaching staff will be intimated by the man, the myth and the legend that is John Calipari? Think again. Head coach Scott Sutton is the son of soon-to-be-former Oklahoma State coach Eddie Sutton.
