ORUTerry
This is a game we would have lost in previous seasons. Our offense (shooting) was superlative and as a result we scored 100 points. The problem is that we couldn't stop Detroit. It looked like a lay up drill. I think Detroit is a talented and athletic team. They will be a handful in the Horizon League. I also think that the referees called a pretty tight game which resulted in lots of players in foul trouble. This caused a hesitation in our players on defense. If we had made our free throws, the game would not have been as close. That needs to get better. We are young and have a lot of areas to improve. ORU cannot depend on shooting like we did against the Titans - but we can work harder on defense and rebounding. Getting Anderson back - as well as White, will help strengthen the rotation. theeagleman5
Yep....TheEagleman thought the game was in the bag with about 3 minutes left....but ORU blew the cover in that final 2 minutes....easy come, easy go.....but very happy to be 6-1 as we head to New Mexico.....we can play with the Lobos.....
