Old Titan
Oh, this just gets better and better.... BREAKING: ORU guard Korey Billbury has been suspended indefinitely "for a violation of team rules." #ORUmbb #SummitMBB — Ben Johnson (@BenJohnsonTUL) February 25, 2015 Whatever it is, for Korey's sake, lets hope it gets resolved quickly and without too much damage. The ironic thing is, the young man appeared to have really grown-up the past season or two, on the court and off.

ORUTerry
This is not good. I hope Korey straightens this situation out and gets things back on track. Praying for him. It will be interesting to see how the players and coaches react to the loss of Billbury

ORUIllini
I guess this kinda makes sense with the way the last few games have gone.....something wasn't right....wish the best for the young man, and who knows....maybe this could be a rallying point for his teammates the remainder of the season... ORUalum
Bob Carpenter said Billbury "probably done for the season." there was no mention of what the infraction was. that's a tough blow for ORU. i just hope he can rejoin the team for next year and get his degree. theeagleman5
Billbury who?.... ....just kidding.....while ORU may have rolled NDSU without him tonight the loss of one of our two best players kills us in the tournament when we will have to play several days in a row.....wondering what the young man did?.....must be pretty serious to finish him for the season......gotta wonder....is his ORU career over?..... ORUJason
The common reaction whenever a player is suspended like this is to wonder what is wrong with the program and blame Scott. However, in reality the coach (in this case Scott) should usually be commended for sticking to his guns and suspending the offending player even when he is such a key contributor. It sends a message to the team that Scott is still in control, that team rules mean something, and that no one, no matter how talented, is above the law. Clearly the team responded well tonight which is certainly a good sign for heading into Sioux Falls. However, I would still like to see something other than a 4-guard lineup since we are a player down. Albert and Denell are both doing some good things. In their limited minutes they combined to score 14 points tonight and we ended up winning by 16. With more minutes, perhaps their contributions would also increase.
Old Titan
Keep in mind, however , that sometimes the school administration is responsible for a suspension, and the coach's (even tbe Athletic Department's) hands are tied, ESPECIALLY at a school such as ORU. Just have to wait and see how this all plays out.
