BlueGold
We win, beating Omaha 3-1 at the AC last night. Set scores were 25-20, 22-25, 25-16, 25-9. Once again, freshman Laura Milos led our attack, pounding out 22 kills. She only had three attack errors in 36 attack attempts for a phenomenal .528 kill percentage. And she wasn't one-dimensional. She played excellent defensively, chipping in with eight digs and four total blocks. Other Golden Eagles of note: Sara Pope- ten kills, eight digs, two total blocks Jovana Poljasevic- six kills (and only one error in nine attempts, hit .556), two service aces, two total blocks Shelby Cox- six kills, six total blocks Maggie DiPronio- a match-high 15 digs and an ORU season-high six service aces, including three straight late in the fourth set A couple of notes: Our .353 hitting percentage is a season best The 25-9 fourth-set score was our largest margin of victory in a set this season The win evens our overall record at 13-13, and we improve to 7-6 in the Summit. We hold fourth place by a half-game over North Dakota State with three matches left. The top six teams make the postseason tournament. We finish up the current four-match homestand and play our last home match of the season this Sunday (Nov. 9th) at the AC against Denver, the Summit League leaders. Great win, Eagles!!
