BlueGold Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 The ladies win their final game of the season at the Case, beating the Mastodons 2-0. It was good to score the first goal and put the pressure on the opponent to have to come back, instead of the other way around, which has been the story for most of this season. Senior Megan Giles got the first goal for us in the 24th minute when she dribbled in from the left and beat the Mastodon goalie to the top right corner. Our second goal came in the 83rd minute on an own goal after a shot by freshman Kylie Dellis hit the post and was deflected in off an opposing player. We finish 4-10-3 overall and 3-5-0 in the Summit, placing us seventh. Only the top four teams in the Summit qualify for the postseason tournament, so unfortunately our season is over.
