BlueGold Posted October 15, 2014 Share Posted October 15, 2014 The ladies had their way in Springfield the last three days, winning the 15-team MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial. They led the tournament from start to finish, posting team scores of 293-295-303=891 to finish 10 shots ahead of UALR. Three Golden Eagles finished in the top-10. Freshman Kennedy Ishee, who had an opening-round 69, led the way in placing second overall, three shots behind the leader from Wichita State. Junior Alejandra Acosta was 5th and sophomore Paty Torres tied for 6th. It's the first tournament win of the fall season for the Golden Eagles. They were fifth out of 11 teams at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational hosted by Kansas and second out of 10 teams at the ORU Shootout a couple of weeks ago. One more fall tournament remains, next Monday and Tuesday at the Blue Raider Invitational, hosted by Middle Tennessee. Way to go Eagles!! Fantastic win!
