The ladies hosted the ORU Shootout yesterday and today at Meadowbrook Country Club, finishing second behind Sam Houston State.  The team held a two-shot lead going into the final 18 today over Sam Houston but couldn't duplicate the low scores they posted over the first 36 holes.  The final team score was 292-287-306 (885 total).  The 287 tied the school record for the lowest round ever.

Junior Alejandra Acosta won the individual title by three shots with a three-round score of 216 (71-67-78).  Her second-round 67 tied the school record for the lowest individual round ever and her individual title is the first by a Golden Eagle women's golfer since March 2012.

All six Golden Eagles that competed finished in the top 25, including Paty Torres (T7th), Kennedy Ishee (T16th), Sirapassom Cheepborisut (T19th), Paola Aviles and Shinwoo Lee (T21st).

Nice job Eagles!!
