Way to go Eagles!!  ORU downs the Razorbacks in Fayetteville, 3 sets to 2.  Senior Sara Pope with the kill at match point!

ORU 26-24, 21-25, 25-22, 23-25, 16-14

The ladies are now 5-3 on the season.

Freshman Laura Milos with 38 kills, the most by a Golden Eagle since 2006, when ORU Hall of Famer Ori Zuzic had 36 against Utah Valley.  Milos had eight of her kills in the fifth set alone, scoring half of ORU's points in the deciding set.  She hit an impressive .347 on 75 kill attempts and added 12 digs to finish with a double-double.  She's a player.

Pope added 11 kills.  Sophomore McKenna Qualls also had a double-double with 10 kills and 15 digs.  Freshman setter Lucija Bojanjac had a season and career-high 57 assists while adding three kills and nine digs.  Freshman libero Maggie DiPronio had a season and career-high 19 digs and chipped in with two aces on her serve.

In the first set, ORU was down 24-21 but scored five straight points to take the set.  It would prove decisive.  Arkansas won the next set but the Golden Eagles rallied from as many as four points down in the third and finished strong, winning three of the final four points to take the set and a 2-1 match lead.  Milos had seven kills in the set.  The fourth set was back and forth.  ORU had a 23-22 lead but the Razorbacks scored the final three points to tie the match at two sets apiece.  It was also back and forth in the fifth set, and Arkansas got to match point at 14-13 but ORU rallied to score the final three points on a Milos kill, a Razorback attack error and Pope's winning blast.

The Golden Eagles have now won two straight over the Razorbacks, both in Fayetteville.  ORU last played Arkansas in 2011, also winning in five sets.

Up next:  At the Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup in H-Town, Friday vs. Sam Houston (1pm) and host Houston (6pm), Saturday vs. Louisiana (Lafayette) at 9am.

WOW, just watched the ESPN highlights.  Thanks for the post Alum.  Milos is a BEAST!  The team as a whole is very impressive.  The future looks very bright.  Again, GO GOLDEN EAGLES!!!

What is also impressive is that IUPUI beat Notre Dame, UNO beat Tennessee and of course we beat Arkansas all this week. And the best, NDSU took down cross-state rival North Dakota in front of almost 1,600 people. Got to love the Summit.
