okiesooner
3 schools from the Southland will be banned from post season play due to APR. This year marked the new standard for qualifying for postseason competition and three South Land schools found themselves below the more stringent 930 multiyear mark. Central Arkansas, Lamar and Houston Baptist will all sit out the 2014-15 postseason by failing to meet the four-year average of 930. Another good reason to move back to the Summit. ORUJason
Is that for men's basketball specifically or does it apply for multiple sports?
ORUTerry
Add ACU to that list - although they may still be provisional anyway.
okiesooner
Yes, those are just for basketball programs. Tulsa World just reported that OSU will forfiet some football practice time due to APR rules.
Old Titan
New Orleans men's basketball has also been docked practice time and other yet-to-determined penalties due to barely making the APR grade. I guess the Southland ain't exactly the Ivy League of the South...
