ORUTerry
Here is a comparison of the teams from StatSheet.com And here is the box score from the game on March 1st where ORU beat SHSU 80 to 73.
theeagleman5
This should be a dandy of a game if it's anything like the Mabee Center match 2 weeks ago.....but I think ORU's mostly disappointing season ends with another one tonight.....SHSU 77 ORU 72......especially if we play like we did vs. McNeese....here's hoping that Billbury and Glover put up 28 each and TheEagleman is wrong.... ORUTerry
Need Glover to have a good game tonight. Haxton said that he wasn't shooting well in pre-game warm ups. SHSU plays very physical and we need to be ready for that.
ORUJason
Playing good D so far, but need to make our free throws!

ORUTerry
Refs are letting them play physical. They did call a phantom foul on Jackson when their player hit a three. Our point guards are not playing well. Makes our offense sluggish. They are shooting really well; over 60% and 6 of 7 from behind the arc. That's hard to beat. ORUJason
Should have been a foul on SHSU against Conley, and then the phantom foul on DJ Jackson when SHSU made the 3 pointer. He purposely backed off of the shooter so that the foul wouldn't be called. The turnover down low with about a minute left cost us because it led to SHSU being able to make a shot and still get the ball back with 35 seconds left so they could milk the clock for the last shot. SHSU can make the 3 pointer, can drive to the basket and can hit mid-range jump shots as well. They do several things well, but don't necessarily do any one thing really well. We just have to keep executing and get the game back to being tied. We also need to keep playing good D.
ORUJason
Every time SHSU drives to the basket they are calling a foul on ORU right now, but we are not receiving the same treatment. I hope to not have to beat SHSU and the refs in order to win this game.
theeagleman5
Let's face it....The Southland doesn't want ORU in the semi finals....and we just aren't that good....
ORUalum
SHSU now 8-9 from 3....ORU needs stops
ORUTerry
That is hard to shoot in practice.
ORUalum
the refusal to switch up defenses is frustrating....they are shooting 60% from the field...TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!!
ORUJason
Not looking good. The D has fallen apart and our offense is lackluster. Need to kick it in quickly or it is over.
theeagleman5
It's all over now....and those of you who argue that Glover is a clutch player....check his 4-13 shooting line tonight......a 17-16 season is about where ORU deserves to finish....we just don't have the horses.... ORUalum
i wonder if Ransom and Peters were even on ORU's radar out of Sewerd. they have been the difference in the game.
theeagleman5
ORU needs a PG next year...very badly.....
ORUalum
kinda what we thought. a .500 ball club isn't all of a sudden gonna find lightening in a bottle. ...and the SLC experiment is a complete disaster...what an utter waste.....2 years and 1 chamipionship (WBB) to show for it.
