Former ORU ace Bill Glasson shot a 3 under par round today and is in the top 15 at the Ace Group Classic in Naples, FL......Bill stands at -4 for the tournament heading to the final round on Sunday but is 8 strokes behind leader Bernhard Langer.....just an FYI....Langer is a very devout Christian man.....TheEagleman loves Glasson but it's hard to root against a guy like Langer...... :nerd:

Bill is not off to a great start in this weekends' Insperity Golf Classic down in Houston, TX.....he shot a 7 over 79 in the first round and is ten strokes behind the leader.....it's been a tough year thus far for Glasson....last week he paired with Steve Pate in the Liberty Mutual Legends Team Classic and they finished 22nd out of 33 teams.......let's hope Billy can get his game together before the end of May so he can contend at the Senior PGA Tournament.....

Glasson recovered with a final round 68(-4) to finish tied for 25th place in Houston today....he gets a nice $16,000 check which should help with expenses.....next up in 3 weeks is the Senior PGA which is a major on the Champions Tour....let's hope that Bill gets his game going on Memorial Day weekend.... :nerd:

Bill missed the cut in this weekends' Senior U.S. Open in Omaha won by Kenny Perry.....Glasson is not having the year he had in 2012.....he has only two top 10 finishes (highest being 9th) and won $231,000 in 13 tournaments.... :nerd:

Bill fired an incredible final round 61 last sunday to finish 13th in the Champions Tour tournament in NC.....too bad he was far down in the pack after the first two rounds....a 61 is phenomenal and it got him another Top 15 finish.....Glasson still has a shot to qualify for the season ending Schwab Cup tournament....he's right on the edge.....the Top 30 golfers will compete for $2million in prize money.... :nerd:

One more tournament this weekend before the $2.5 million Schwab Cup....only the top 30 players in Cup points earned throughout the season make this Champions Tour finale....right now Bill Glasson is 34th.....he is going to probably need at least a top 5 finish this week to move into the Top 30....and even with that he might need others currently in the 28-30 spots to do poorly......hopefully the ex-ORU star can continue to play like he did last Sunday when he shot that 61..... :nerd:

Glasson finished tied for 30th in the tour finale at San Antonio yesterday.....this is gonna leave Bill a little short in making the Schwab Cup...only the top 30 money winners get in and Glasson is around 33rd....so he is just going to miss out.....his season is over for 2013...total monies earned around $450,000....he should be able to eat on that.... :nerd:

ORUJason

I'm glad he has overcome his previous back issues enough to be able to have a productive and rewarding year.  $450K is a lot of dough for a year on the Senior Tour.
