theeagleman5
Bill shot a 3 under 69 on Saturday and is just 3 strokes behind leaders Fred Funk and Steve Pate....he has a shot going into today's final round.....
theeagleman5
Glasson falters today with a 2 over 74 and finishes well back in a tie for 25th...Bill got off to a poor start on a wet cold day in NC with a bogey on 3 and a double on 4.....that eliminated him on a day when Bernhard Langer shot a 9-under 63 to come from way back and win the Championship..... theeagleman5
Bill Glasson is now 15th on the Champions Tour money list with just a shade under $828,000.....too bad he blew that victory last month....he would be over $1 million.....two more tournaments left before the Schwab Cup finale... theeagleman5
Looks like Glasson is not going to be in contention this week at the Greater Hickory Classic in NC.....Bill shot an opening round of 3 over 75 and is ten strokes back of leader Dan Forsman.....he will need a very low score today in round 2 to have any hope of climbing back into the hunt..... theeagleman5
Glasson shoots a first round +1 and is six strokes behind leader Mark Calcavecchia in the AT&T Tournament in Texas.....the round was not completed due to weather issues......there are still a few players who will need to finish round one in the morning..... theeagleman5
Glasson scores an even par 72 in today's 2nd round of the AT&T but is now 9 strokes behind leader Mark Calcavecchia (-.....still, Bill is in the top 20 and just 4 strokes out of 2nd place....Calcavecchia is 5 strokes ahead of his closest competitor....so if Billy can put up a low number on Sunday....he could still finish in the top 10 and earn a nice paycheck..... theeagleman5
Glasson shoots another even par 72 in the final round to finish at +1 in a tie for 20th place...nine strokes behind winner David Frost who beat Bernhard Langer in a playoff......Bill gets a check for $20,600+ and now has over $854,000 in winnings for the year on the Champions Tour....he is 16th on the money list....next week is the final tournament of the season.....The Schwab Cup in Scottsdale with a $1million bonus going to the points winner.....it's the equivilant of the FedEx Cup on the Champions Tour.... theeagleman5
Glasson is -5 after three rounds of the season ending Schwab Cup in Arizona....only the top 30 players qualify for this tournament and Bill is currently tied for 13th prior to the start of today's final round 12 strokes behind the leader....he is well behind leaders Tom Lehman, Fred Couples and Jay Haas who are way ahead of the entire field...this is a 3 man race for the $1million top prize.....but Glasson is not embarassing himself...a good round today could get him into the top 10 and earn a nice check....
